History of minorities in Turkey is one the issues I have been reading for quite some time now. Therefore in this blog I will share some news about minorities in Turkey as well. In particular, though, I will mostly share news about those whose relatives, friends or neighbors moved away from Turkey or were forced to do so. As a matter of fact, quite a lot of people in Turkey, who were born and have grown up in this country, might have at least once in their lives asked questions such as: “What the hell are these people trying to do, what is their problem with my country”. Coming up with satisfactory arguments to answer such questions is almost certainly beyond the means of a simple blog. However I am sure that reading about what they think or how they feel must be one of the first steps to be taken in order to realize that none of these issues are some sort of a fight among Turks and others but things upon which a common understanding must be reached.
l will definitely not advocate a certain point of view. However, on these particular issues, I will present different points of view, beliefs and even prejudices on Turkey's history, past and current politics and as well as on Turkish people. It is greatly welcomed if you provide me with new news sources to post on the blog espacially on this issue.
